What to expect in my councelling sessions:

Location Independence

Psychological online counselling can be used flexibly worldwide, whether on business trips, out of home office, on vacation or as an expat with permanent residence abroad. There is no need to leave your home - you can get help within the comfort of your home.

Confidentiality

As a psychologist and psychological psychotherapist, I am subject to confidentiality according to § 203 StGB and § 8 of the professional code of psychotherapists in Germany. Your problems and stories are safe with me.

Security

Through end-to-end encryption, we are securely connected to each other in the counselling sessions. I work with a provider for video-based treatments certified by the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians in Germany (webprax).

Quality

So far, there are only a few trained psychotherapists who offer online counselling. As a licensed psychological psychotherapist with a PhD in clinical psychology, I aim to close this gap and support you with well-founded knowledge.

Effectiveness

The effectiveness of online therapy has already been well researched. Studies show that similar effects can be achieved online in comparision to offline. A good introduction to the current international research landscape is the American homepage of the Online Therapy Institute.

Individuality

What is helpful for one may be completely wrong for the other. Together we will figure out which framework is the best fit for your problem. I use a repertoire of scientifically based methods (e.g. cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), schema therapy).
